The Titan Of Boxing Passes Away

Muhammad Ali, who was three times the world heavyweight boxing champion, passed away on Friday at a hospital in the Phoenix area. He was 74, and he was perhaps the most controversial and most charismatic person in the sports world in the 20th century.

Ali’s death was confirmed by a family spokesperson Bob Gunnell who was a family friend. He died due to septic shock.

Ali battled with Parkinson’s disease for more than three decades and was admitted due to a respiratory problem on Monday.

Muhammad Ali had a physically lyrical and a very unorthodox boxing style. The style he had was of great agility, speed, and power. He thus was the most thrilling heavyweight boxer. In addition to this, he had a very buoyant personality and an agile mind. He was extremely self-confident and had personal convictions due to which he was as entertaining due to his fists as well as due to his speech.

He took strong stands. He refused to be drafted during the war in Vietnam. He rejected racial integration, and he changed his religion to Islam as well. In fact, he became one of the most known figures of the 20th century. He was a charismatic personality and kept reinventing his persona.
