Why Should You Have Shark Liver Oil?

Shark Liver oil is widely used to increase the immunity of the person as it has alkylglycerols and squalene as well as Vitamin E and other such compounds. All these help in boosting the immunity of the person and to help in aging in a healthy manner. However, in addition to this, it is also beneficial for increasing the vascular health as well as supporting the immunity when pregnant and decrease the wasting of muscles.

In fact, studies have shown that it helps in peripheral microvascular circulation blood flow and for stiffness of blood vessels and that too without side effects. It keeps these blood vessels flexible as it has polyunsaturated fats. This increases the flexibility and elasticity of the cell membranes. This protects the vascular tissues from damage due to oxidation and acts as a scavenger for free radicals.

In pregnant women who had bladder infections, urinary tract problems and inflammation of the urinary tract, those that had shark liver oil found improvements in their condition and that too with less pain. It is also used for those suffering from sinus infections.

Those women who suffered from cervical cancer were given shark liver oil, and they were able to better tolerate radiation therapy.

Those who were very elderly were studied especially those who needed to face surgery. In these people who were 90 years old and more, the post-operative inflammation, as well as the immune risks of infection, was reduced. These patients were able to recover quicker than their counterparts. The number of their white blood cells increased too. Those who were treated for insulin resistance and obesity too benefited and the cholesterol, body weight, fasting blood sugar, triglycerides as well as leptin and insulin levels improved too.

Those who had loss of muscle mass or fat tissue like those who had major trauma, cancer, mal-absorption, surgery and severe infections found considerable improvement upon taking shark liver oil.
